Gloria Steinem Parties with the Elephants

Where will Gloria celebrate her 80th birthday this March 25th? On the back of an African elephant, riding across the magnificent Okavango Delta in Botswana. And why not? She has never been one to follow convention. Cherri Briggs, founder of EXPLORE has traveled to Africa with Gloria many times, and was given the opportunity to plan Gloria’s 80th birthday trip back to Africa. Gloria is spending the week at Abu Camp, “one of her favorite places on earth”, which showcases the incredible wildlife and landscape of the Okavango Delta in a unique way. And affords visitors the chance to interact closely with the elephants and view the scenery from the great grey giants point of view.

The always spectacular Steinem is featured this week in a New York Times article titled “This is What 80 Looks Like” in which she gives insight on aging and her plans for the future- ever fresh and always on the edge, she has plenty of them for us.
